Spotlight: Found plenty for pressure to win by 2l on reappearance at Goodwood (1m2f, good) in May and kept on for solid third at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) since; those performances, allied with his pedigree, indicate this lightly raced 4yo will be suited by this step up in trip; major player.
Spotlight: Lightly raced 4yo who was progressive on AW prior to a blip at Newcastle in April, and he bounced back from that when third at York (1m4f, good to firm) in May; now 8lb better off with York runner-up Stressfree (who won next time) and he could be involved.
Spotlight: Won at Chester (10.3f, good) in May on first run since being gelded and stayed on well for good third at York (10.2f, good to firm) last time; the step back up in trip looks the right move and he's a possible player.
Spotlight: 4yo who posted two convincing wins last autumn (1m6f, heavy/soft; including here) and returned with fair fourth at Hamilton (1m5f, good to soft); he could have more to offer and rain would aid his cause; has won on good going but best form is on softer; unraced on good to firm.
Spotlight: 5yo who has been better than ever this season, going close at York (1m4f, good to firm) in May then winning over today's C&D (good); down the field in Royal Ascot handicap (1m4f, good to firm) since and remains on a career-high mark, but he's not written off in view of his previous fine form.
Spotlight: Wore a first-time visor at York (1m4f, good to firm) three weeks ago and was awarded the race, with his narrow conqueror My Dream World disqualified due to whip misuse; he was snapping a 12-race losing sequence and has gone back up 4lb, but he's unexposed in the headgear and has each-way claims.
Spotlight: Won four in a row last summer and kicked off this campaign with another two wins (1m2f, good); no match for well-treated winner at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) since but the time looks right for him to have a first crack at 1m4f and he could play a leading role.
Spotlight: First past the post in female amateurs' race at York (1m4f, good to firm) three weeks ago, when disqualified due to whip misuse; up 5lb but did well to come home in front following an early stumble and the expected strong pace should suit this unexposed 4yo, who is open to further improvement.
Spotlight: Won three times in a row last summer and back on the scoresheet at Ascot (1m4f, good to firm) in May; soundly beaten at Epsom (1m4f, good) since but he's better than that and had nearly 4l to spare at Ascot, so this 6lb higher mark may not be beyond him.
Spotlight: Won in the spring on first two starts for this yard (1m3f/1m4f, AW/good); fair third of five at Lingfield (11.6f, good) but there's a suspicion the handicapper now has his measure and he's up in grade today.
Spotlight: Two AW wins in the winter (1m2f/1m3f) and continued the good work when easily making all in three-runner handicap at Pontefract (1m4f, good) recently after a break; 6lb higher in a much hotter race today but this progressive 5yo comfortably dispatched an in-form rival last time and is not ruled out.
Spotlight: Snapped a long losing run and capitalised on a reduced mark over 10.4f here (good) a fortnight ago; enjoyed the run of the race in front and it might be the case this longer trip stretches him nowadays, but he did it nicely last time and remains well treated on old form back up 6lb; not discounted.
Spotlight: Has done very well since joining this yard; won two in a row at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) in March and close fourth in the Northumberland Vase there (2m) last Saturday; effective on turf early in career; however, he takes on classier opposition than last time and a career best is needed.
Spotlight: 5yo who was better than ever when winning competitive Class 4 at York (1m4f, good to firm) in May on reappearance; well beaten off this 4lb higher mark in Epsom Class 2 (1m4f, good) since and is in the same grade here, but the track may not have suited last time and he's not ruled out each-way.
Spotlight: Three AW wins this year (1m4f/1m3f) and second of six behind thriving winner here (2m, good) in May; however, down the field in the Northumberland Vase (2m, AW) last Saturday and it's hard to be confident after that.
Spotlight: Well treated on form as recent as early 2024; however, this 8yo was a long way below his best last May-August and has been off since; plenty to prove.

The step up to 1m4f looks a likely positive for SIR LOWRY'S PASS (nap) and this lightly raced 4yo can return to winning ways. Fellow 4yo City Of Delight has been prolific in 1m2f handicaps and is feared most, with this first crack at 1m4f well worth a go. My Dream World is unexposed and the expected strong gallop should be right up his street, while Paddy The Squire could have more to offer now back up to 1m4f.[Ben Hutton] Show less
